Yamaha YZF R6 R1 YZF600 FZ6 FZ6N FZ6S V-STAR XVS Regulator Rectifier Voltage

So far it works like it should. Battery voltage does move up and down between 14-14.8 but keeps battery charged and bets spending $350 for oem one.

This was exactly the correct part for my needs. Happy to have the Harley running again.

Regulator is a lot cheaper than going to dealer.Fits perfect and operates perfect.

I will hopefully remember to update this as time progresses. My rectifier went out and fortunately the stator is good. I got this "next day" shipping so I wouldn't be out a ride. I will likely get a stocker or a premium rectifier to replace this and have this as a backup. Until then - let's see how it goes.

This thing looks and feels solid. Great finish. It isn't made of any cheapy materials. One difference from stock is that the Harley unit (at least some) have a metal plate on the bottom. My best guess is that is a heat sink. This unit (and most others) not having it - will be interesting to see longevity. All told - I'm happy to have a part I can use at least in short term.

6/12/2025: plugged in and test started. Volts went right up to about 13.5. Excellent. After install and cleanup, will take for a test ride.

6/14/2025: now about 250 miles on the rectifier. Did a 215 mile ride in southern california heat (peak about 95F). Everything worked great. So far so good. When my last one was going out - I experienced glitchiness like random lights coming on. No glitches so far.

Good cheap fix
