After a year of searching for a mechanic that charged under $1500 to replace this throttle, I was lucky to find the throttle on Amazon for under $100 and have it replaced under $300 at Jacinto’s in Dallas. Jay, my mechanic, said this throttle’s quality is premium grade. He also said, for my 08 Pontiac G5, that it did not need any programming if you disconnect the battery before installing. Since having it replaced, I’ve had no issues with the engine shutting down or anything. From now on, I will definitely look for car parts on Amazon due to this wonderful experience.

I was constantly getting the "engine power ruduced" error on my display, and the car would slow down and didn't want to go above 40 mph. I would have to pull over, shut the car off, wait a few minutes, and restart it until the error went off the display. After researching the issue online, I found out that it was a bad throttle position sensor. Since this is both the body, and the sensor all together, and is a lower price than purchasing the sensor by itself, I went with it. Product received 2 days later, brand new as described. My husband installed it in less than an hour about a month ago, and I haven't had any issues since.
